About the Library
The Wells Branch Community Library District was created by election on August 8, 1998, soon after Texas legislation allowed the establishment of library districts in areas not served by existing library systems. Learn more about the library's history.
The District collects sales tax revenue of 0.5% from local businesses and receives fees from other services. An elected governing board of five trustees manages the funds and operates the library.
